Voice over is a segment from my journal entry today. “It was never about the eggs. I’m so fucking sad today, the kind of sad that squeezes your heart and makes you have to work hard just to breathe. And I’m mad. No, not mad. I’m feeling rage. I keep thinking about all the work previous generations put into this country, and how one tiny handed little tyrant is ripping it apart entirely out of malice, greed and a need to get even with his perceived enemies. Millions voted for him, claiming it was because he would fix the economy that he’d help Middle America. But the quiet part they don’t wanna say out loud, is that they wanted someone who will support and encourage their racism, their misogyny, their hatred of immigrants, their hatred of Muslims and their hatred of the LGBTQ plus people, focusing their targets on trans people who just want to exist and be left alone to live their typical American lives. It was never about the eggs, the groceries, the economy. This entire term is about Trump truly being himself and seeking revenge and doing the only thing he really knows how to do, destroy things that other people built. He enjoys hurting people.
